Ethernet vs WiFi speeds
Our advertised speeds are for a single wired (Ethernet) connection plugged into your router. When deciding which broadband speed is best for you, keep in mind that:
- Using an Ethernet cable to connect your devices to the router will give you the fastest broadband speeds possible.
- WiFi generally offers slower speeds compared to a wired connection, especially as the speed package increases.
- The broadband bandwidth delivered is shared across all the devices connected to the service (be that over a wired Ethernet or WiFi connection).
- The more devices connected, the more that bandwidth is shared between them, and therefore, the slower the speeds become.
- More bandwidth speed allows more data to be transmitted to and from your devices at the same time, resulting in quicker speeds.
- Your WiFi connection may be affected by interference from other devices and the position of your router resulting in slower speeds.
What speeds can I expect?
The speed you will get greatly depends on the type of router you use. That speed is divided and shared between all your connected devices, so it’s best to have a higher speed for a large workforce. If you use our router or a similar spec router, then the below speeds are a good indication of what you can expect.

We don’t provide a router as part of our standard package, but they are available as an additional chargeable option upon request. Please contact us if this is a requirement.
This is not a traditional leased line service. However, our dedicated full fibre broadband connection provides speeds that exceed those provided by leased lines at a fraction of the price. We can deliver our full fibre broadband services in much shorter timeframes than leased lines, with much lower set up costs and zero Excess Construction Charges (ECCs).
Our packages include a small connection charge. £200 connection charge for 24 & 36-month contracts and £300 connection charge for 12-month contract applies to 150 Mbps, 400 Mbps, 1 Gbps and 5 Gbps contracts. £695 connection charge applies to all 10 Gbps contracts. We do not charge for any build or excess construction charges (ECC).

We offer an eight-hour fix SLA, but if we can’t fix it within 4 hours, we will provide a 4G USB solution to keep you connected.
