UK, London,  Thursday 24th October 2024: <a href="https://communityfibre.co.uk/" rel="follow noopener" target="_blank">Community Fibre</a>, the UK&rsquo;s top ranked Broadband provider according to the UK&rsquo;s consumer champion Which? and the Internet Service Providers&rsquo; Association (ISPA), has today announced that it has signed a new finance facility provided and/or arranged by JP Morgan, Barclays, LBBW, SIMCo (Sequoia Investment Management Company) and Alpha Bank raising a total of &pound;125m, overachieving planned targets and bringing total investment in the company to &pound;1.1bn.
The company also announced it has been EBITDA positive since April 2024, news which was warmly welcomed by existing shareholders Warburg Pincus LLC, DTCP, Railpen and NDIF, and its lenders.&nbsp;
Community Fibre builds, operates, and owns its 100% full fibre network making available the most advanced technology with the fastest speeds to&nbsp;1.3m homes and businesses across London. Community Fibre has connected more than 310,000 residents and businesses across the capital and has seen an 85% increase in its customer base in the past 12 months as more people look to alternative networks (Altnets) for faster, more affordable 100% full fibre broadband along with better service. &nbsp;Businesses include Nando&rsquo;s and London Grid for Learning (LGFL). It has also signed multiple wholesale agreements with major UK internet service providers, making it the only London-based Altnet to do so.

Monday 16th September 2024, London:&nbsp;<a href="https://communityfibre.co.uk/">Community Fibre</a>, London&rsquo;s largest 100% only full fibre network, says it expects to see a positive impact on its customer base now that One Touch Switching (OTS) has come into effect from Thursday, September 12th.&nbsp;
The provider also says that it has already completed its first customer installation in less than two days (who switched from Sky) since the new Ofcom regulation, which allows customers to switch their broadband between communication providers without having to speak to their existing provider, went live.
In addition, OTS also ensures that there will be no break in service for customers when switching, as their new provider will handle the switching process and cancel their old internet deal for them once the new service is up and running. By eliminating the need for customers to liaise with their existing providers, and only terminating contracts once their new provider is live, what was once a complicated, time-consuming process that can leave households without internet access will now become a seamless, risk-free experience for broadband users.&nbsp;
It believes that this will continue to be a net positive for the company when it comes to acquiring new customers, with its Chief Executive Officer Graeme Oxby commenting: &ldquo;I hope that the latest One Touch Switching rule change will continue to benefit both alternative broadband providers and consumers, now that it is easier for users of other networks to come and join us to experience the great services that Community Fibre provides.&rdquo;
