London, UK – 12 January, 2020 – Community Fibre, London’s fastest 100% full-fibre broadband provider, today launches a new home phone service to provide its customers with the complete home package of full-fibre broadband and calling services. The new home phone service is ideal for those wanting to keep their home phone to call at fair prices, work from home, and stay in touch with friends and family without additional line rental costs. The ‘Everyday Landlines & Mobiles’ call package available for the launch offers unlimited calls to UK landlines and UK mobiles at the competitive price of £10 a month with standard home phone features all-inclusive. New and existing Community Fibre customers will receive their first three months for free if they sign up by 4th February.
With Community Fibre’s home phone service, customers will be able to use their existing home phone handset and keep the existing telephone number. In addition, all the standard calling features, such as voice mail, call waiting, forwarding and barring, which are usually charged as extra cost items in the home phone packages available on the market, are included in the Community Fibre package for free.
Graeme Oxby, CEO of Community Fibre says: “The new Community Fibre home phone service is an all-inclusive, easy-to-use service that complements our great value-for-money 100% full-fibre broadband, delivering complete home connectivity to our customers. We are committed to keeping our communities connected and we are proud that our efforts are recognised by our community with the #1 ranking we hold for internet provider on Trustpilot and the recent award win by the ISPA as the Best Consumer ISP. In the year to come, we are committed to continue building our home phone service to further meet our customers’ needs with the inclusion of international calling.”
The new home phone service utilises modern Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology which carries calls over a broadband connection, as the traditional Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) will be switched off by 2025 [1]. The use of new digital technologies opens the door for Community Fibre to develop more reliable and future-proof products and services for years to come.
Furthermore, the new home phone experience is enriched by a fully featured Community Fibre Home Phone mobile app, enabling customers to make and receive calls over WiFi or mobile data, available today on Android and iOS App stores. Call allowance is included in each customer’s standard call package, so calls made from the home phone or the mobile app will be covered in the monthly fee. This means that if customers use the app when away from home, be that elsewhere in the UK or abroad, they can call all UK landlines and UK mobiles on Wi-Fi, without any additional charges.
To help customers facilitate the switch to Community Fibre, number porting will be available so they can use the service from day one.
Starting from today, customers can choose their desired Community Fibre broadband package and add-on the ‘Everyday Landlines & Mobiles’ call plan to begin enjoying the complete home connectivity experience. For those who sign up to the call package by 4th February, it will be free for the first three months, followed by a £10/month fee for a 12-month or 24-month contract. This competitive price includes:
The Community Fibre 100% full-fibre broadband and home phone services are available across all London boroughs where Community Fibre services. Community Fibre will continue to roll out to more boroughs across London in the near future.
